A quick guide to using the Mint service.
Your Mint Smartcard
Your Mint Smartcard is your key to lock and unlock your door. Hold your Smartcard against the card reader on the windshield to start your reservation or to unlock your car during a reservation.
To end your reservation, turn off the car and scan your keycard one last time.
Your Mint Car Keys
The car key will be with the garage attendant or in the vehicle. Never leave the key in the car. Take the key with you during your reservation!

You Must be Mint Authorized to Drive
Only Mint members are authorized to operate a Mint vehicle.
Return Your Vehicle to the Same Location
Your vehicle must be returned to the same location from where you picked it up.
Return Your Vehicle on Time (or Earlier)
Please return the vehicle on time to avoid any penalties. For more details go to our Rules FAQ.
Extending Your Reservation
Remember from inside the car you can extend your reservation using the on-board technology mounted near the rear-view mirror.
Fill the Tank When it Gets to 1/4
Please be sure to fill up the gas tank on us if fuel level is below ¼ tank. Instructions in the car.
Gas Card
All gas is paid for by Mint! Your gas card can be found in the slot of the on-board technology mounted by the rear-view mirror. The PIN code will be displayed when you remove the card from the slot.
E-ZPass
E-ZPass is included in every Mint vehicle! Toll charges will be billed to the reservation at the end of every month and will include a 10% processing fee.
Report Problems Immediately
Be sure to report any and all damages, missing vehicles or accidents immediately to 212-206-8555. You can also use your iPhone or PDA to extend or create a new reservation.
No Smoking
Absolutely no smoking in Mint cars.
